Journey to work with help from Ingeus!

I'm currently on JSA and attending appointments at, wait for it... Ingeus!!!! (Yay.. said no one ever.) I've decided to make this blog after the events of today at Ingues.

For anyone who doesn't know who Ingeus are, they're a mandatory program that the Job Centre put you on for two years.. Yes two years. Then if you don't find a job you'll get sent back to the ever-so-lovely Job Centre. (Then you'll most definitely be put on something similar again.)


These people use luring quotes like " I applied for hundred of jobs, but got nowhere before I'd been helped by Ingeus" I honestly believe that quote is false and it's just there to make you think they've helped someone in the past. Then it makes you think you can relate to the situation, so you feel like you can put you trust within these people finding you employment.


During your time at Ingeus you will have to go through a lot of unnecessary stuff, for the time that you will be there for and not get help with anything. The only thing they'll help you with is, getting frustrated, disappointment and just overall stress really.



So I went in for my appointment as usual and sat down with my adviser or whatever they class themselves as, then she INSTANTLY started to be negative towards me. Like seriously? I haven't come here to be treated like crap, I've come here to get help with finding a job.


Some of the following conversation went like this..



Adviser: You've failed the candidate pool  assessment.


Me: What did I do that made me fail for the second time? I did everything she told me, so I'm pretty damn confused to why I've failed it again. (I've failed it twice and I'm pretty confident they did it on purpose to annoy me and it's bloody working.)


Adviser: Your attitude toward this place and me. I'm only trying to help you.


Me: Umm.. Ok then. So what you're telling me is that I don't want a job then, because you're not really here to help me are you?


Adviser: Yeah you clearly don't want a job. (Then she started to tell me a load of rubbish about how shes here to help me and all that jazz.)


Me: Umm.. Ok. So please tell me how many people you've helped? Because you seem SHIT at your job. (And yes I bloody told her she's shit at her job.)


Adviser: I've helped 100 people within the 5/6 years I've worked here.

Oh yes, it certainly does smell like bullshit!

I think helping 100 people within 5 to nearly 6 years is pretty terrible in my opinion, but hey she thinks what she's achieved is absolutely outstanding for 5 years of work!!. SORT IT OUT!!
Then she just continued telling me about how she's met all her target goals and she just wants to help me!!! I've heard it all before, I'm just at the point where nothing these idiots say is true and they'er not going to fool me with these false achievements!! Goals, goals goals and more goals!!!

So by this point I'm pretty pissed off with this bitch, then all her colleagues have stopped and watching the conversation, ha!! Then everyone decide to look at me and give me dirty looks. 

I HONESTLY DON'T CARE!!

Then she's stating every few seconds that "I know you're an intelligent girl" WOAHHH!!!! Hold your fucking horses!!! I'm a woman, not a girl you stupid bitch. I know she was saying stuff like "You're intelligent" It was her shitty indirect attempt to insult my intelligence, whilst constantly saying it in a snide way.


I've stated this to the Job Centre maybe 10-15 times already, "How do these people have jobs?" Like seriously all they do is sit at their computer all day watching YouTube videos (Oh yeah!! I've seen them watching videos countless times in the past even today.) Or making vulgar jokes.

Well I certainly didn't see this coming... 

I've not made that up just look at the posts on that site. 

When people who used to work at Ingeus have bad things too say about the establishment they're working at, how can I possibly have anything good to say about this place?




I just hope places like Ingeus won't be around for the next generation.
